In this weekly class, preschool, kindergarten and early elementary students will hear a classic fairy tale story, answer comprehension questions, and complete a STEAM activity to go along with the story. Week of September 8th - September 14th: The Three Little Pigs (House Building) Three different building materials such as: sticks, legos, magnatiles, wooden blocks, playdough, straws, etc. Week of September 15th - September 21st: Pinocchio (Puppets) Brown paper lunch bags or socks Glue Scissors Colored paper Other supplies such as buttons, pipe cleaners, feathers, etc. Week of September 22nd - September 28th: Little Red Hen (Bread in a Bag) 3 cups plain flour 3 tablespoons granulated sugar 1 .25oz Packet rapid rise yeast 1 1/2 teaspoons salt 1 cup of warm water 3 tablespoons olive oil Mixing bowl Gallon ziplock bag Spoon Parchment paper (or other surface to knead dough) Week of September 29th - October 5th: Cinderella (Build a Castle) 20 or more plastic cups Week of October 6th - October 12th: Three Billy Goats (Bridge Challenge) Blue Sheet of Paper Legos, magnatiles, or wooden blocks PDF Week of October 13th - October 19th: Hansel and Gretel (Candy Houses) Brown paper lunch bag Various colors of paper Markers Scissors Glue Week of October 20th - October 26th:Jack and the Beanstalk (Beanstalk Build) 4 - 5 Toilet paper rolls Green paper Scissors Markers Green pipe cleaners Tape or glue Week of October 27th - November 2nd: Little Mermaid (Underwater Scene) Various colors of playdough Playdough tools Optional: Ocean animals, mermaid toys Week of November 3rd - November 9th: Little Red Riding Hood (Basket Weaving) 2 sheets of different colored paper Markers Scissors Glue Week of November 10th - November 16th: Rapunzel (Tower Escape) Tape Paper Scissors Toilet paper or paper towel rolls Various other household supplies of your choice Week of November 17th - November 23rd: Peter Pan (Rocking Pirate Ship) - Paper plate - Brown Paint - Black Paper - Red Paper - White Paper - Popsicle Stick - Scissors - Glue Week of November 24th - November 30th: Wizard of Oz (Melting Witch) 4 cups baking soda 1 cup water Green food dye 1 cup vinegar Dropper Plastic container or tray Spoon OPTIONAL: Small cauldrons, witches hats made from black foam Week of December 1st - December 7th: Goldilocks and the Three Bears (Build a Bed) Week of December 8th - December 14th: Snow White (Design a House) Week of December 15th - December 21st: The Gingerbread Man (Giant Gingerbread People) Week of December 22nd - December 28th: Sleeping Beauty (Fairy Slime) Week of December 29th - January 4th: Frog Prince (Jumping Frogs) Week of January 5th - January 11th: Beauty and the Beast (Rose Art) Week of January 12th - January 18th: Alice in Wonderland (Mirror Writing) Week of January 19th - January 25th: Princess and the Pea (Layered Bed Art) Week of January 26th - February 1st: The Snow Queen (Fizzy Ice) Week of February 2nd - February 8th: The Selkie (Seal Drawing and Watercolor Art) Week of February 9th - February 15th: Puss in Boots Week of February 16th - February 22nd: The Lion King

Hello to Everyone! My name is Miss Meghan and I can’t wait to meet your child. I enjoy teaching a variety of classes for preschool and early elementary ages.
I hold a Master's Degree in Early Childhood Special Education. At the beginning of my career, I worked extensively with children with autism in home settings designing programs to help students access the world around them in an empowering way. After my oldest daughter was born, I became a licensed childcare provider creating a home away from home for many children to grow and learn. When my youngest daughter was born, I decided it was time to explore other options and that is how I landed at Outschool. I am so grateful for this opportunity and love meeting new learners from all over the world.
I have a passion for instilling a love of learning in young children through exposure, messy play, and fun! I strongly believe that letting children delve into learning at their own level and allowing for different types of learning styles sets children up for a life long learning journey.
In addition to teaching on Outschool, I also homeschool my two daughters who are my pride and joy. I feel so grateful to have a career that I love that also affords me the opportunity to spend time with my own children as well. In my free time, I enjoy art, brainstorming new lesson ideas, cross stitch, and reading!
