課堂經歷
Our Fairy Tale Camp will meet 3 times for 1 week. Our camp is a magical week when Princesses and Heroines come from near and far to have the chance to spend time with some of the most intelligent, inspiring and polite Princesses in all the land-YOU! Together we dance, share stories, play games, make crafts, and more! And the best part - you can come dressed up in your favorite fairy tale princess or heroine costume! Who is your favorite princess or heroine?? Various princess activities may include themes from Beauty and the Beast, Aladdin, Rapunzel, Cinderella, Moana, Frozen, Snow White, and many others! *This is a rotating list, so no guarantees on exactly which theme until class starts. I combine the magic of being a Princess as we learn oral skills (sharing aloud), taking turns, direct instruction, listening skills, and communication in a group setting. Since this is a pre-K/Kindergarten age group, we are working on whole group and independent skills at an introductory level. We will have group discussions and ask questions about stories we're reading, we might sing songs, and listen to music. I will use media such as YouTube to show video clips of songs and stories to keep children engaged. Each day we will focus on different skills and will include a variety of interactive activities that will keep students engaged during class! The class will focus on: princess manners, forming friendships with other learners, communication during class, fine motor skills such as tracing, coloring, and using crafts. Here is an example of our class activities: - Introductions - Class rules for speaking and listening - Icebreaker - Explanation of story time rules/expectations - Story time - Craft (may need parental guidance and support, might need to finish after class depending on timing) - Activity/Game - Last discussion/questions/sharing Each day we will have a craft/activity that the students will view in class and can follow along in class or do it after class with adult assistance. This is a fun activity for the kids to work on independently while following directions, but some students may need more time to complete it than we have available during class. Please encourage your child to follow along as best as they can, but that you may need to assist them with gluing or other aspects of the project after class time. 其他詳情
父母的引導和規範
Parental guidance or support may be required for the craft activity, but the students can watch and follow along, then complete this after class as well.
供應清單
A complete craft supply list will be provided before the class starts. These are optional crafts, as the student can just watch during class, but it's a LOT more fun if they can make their own! Supplies include items such as: popsicle sticks, printed paper templates, construction paper, scissors, glue, yarn, and pipe cleaners.
