In this class, young students will "follow" Fairies while exploring Monet's paintings. We will concentrate on works depicting Monet's garden including 2 paintings of Water Lilies. Children will learn a few facts about Claude Monet, listen to a story, and discuss some of his paintings. Students will learn (or review) what artists do and what kind of painting is called "landscape". In the second portion of the class, we will make a craft inspired by the artworks presented in the first portion of the class. 🎨✂️🤩 My goal is threefold: to familiarize children with famous works of art, to inspire creativity, and to make kids realize that they are artists who can make their own choices about their creations. PLEASE MAKE SURE TO CHECK THE LIST OF MATERIALS NEEDED FOR THE CRAFT. ALSO, PLEASE BE ADVISED THAT FOR THE CRAFT PORTION OF THE CLASS, PARENTAL GUIDANCE IS REQUIRED FOR YOUNGER STUDENTS (AGES 4-5) AND RECOMMENDED FOR OLDER ONES (AGES 6-8) DUE TO USE OF SCISSORS AND OTHER MATERIALS. Class is appropriate for (𝐂𝐄𝐅𝐑: B1, B2, C1, C2)

For the craft portion of the class, parental guidance is required for younger students (ages 4-5) for the use of scissors and other materials. Parental guidance is recommended for older students (ages 6-8).

Supply List: • Cardboard sheet (could be cut out from cereal box) about 7x9 inches • Blue and Green construction paper • Napkin OR Tissue Paper (preferably in one of the following colors: white, blue, pink, or yellow) • Glue • Small scissors • Scotch tape • Markers

I am a graduate of Temple University in Philadelphia with bachelor degree in Psychology. Also, I studied Early Childhood Education in Israel and Ukraine.
Before I started teaching on Outschool, I've being teaching creativity classes inspired by classical music and fine art in afternoon preschool program working with Pre-K through 2 Grade children. Earlier, I was a homeschooling mom for 7 years.
I believe that childhood is the best time to inspire human creativity. By regularly exposing children to works of art and classical music as well as helping kids to process their experiences through games, crafts, and dramatic play, adults have an opportunity to cultivate their creativity.
I LOVE reading books in general and children's literature in particular. I think there are so many great and beautiful kids' books waiting to be discovered. I also love co-creating with the kids: bouncing my ideas of theirs.評論
