By the end of the school year, second-grade students will demonstrate proficiency in reading comprehension, math problem-solving, and scientific inquiry. They will be able to read and understand grade-level texts, solve addition and subtraction problems with regrouping, and conduct simple science experiments with accurate observations and conclusions. Additionally, they will develop effective communication and collaboration skills, fostering a positive learning environment where they can share ideas, actively participate in discussions, and work harmoniously with their peers. The learning goal aims to foster a love for learning, critical thinking, and a growth mindset, empowering second graders to approach challenges with confidence and enthusiasm.

Mrs. Berry-Cherry: 
I began my career as an educator more than ten years ago by volunteering at the local enrichment program in my community. I went on to receive my Bachelor's Degree and Masters's Degree. Soon after college, I founded my church's Camp Pyramid Summer Enrichment Reading Program and Pyramid Academy Learning Center. I taught third-grade and fourth-grade in PGCPS. I have a strong passion for connecting with learners through education. 

Mrs. Moore: 
Hello, my name is Julianna Moore, and I am an NJ State Certified teacher (K-6 th Grade). I have taught for many years and am now excited to take it to another level and begin my online teaching journey. My approach to learning is to be patient and supportive and answer all my students' questions. My job is to open your child's mind and for your child to learn as much as they can in the short time they are with me in class. I am to provide them with a safe and positive environment while discussing essential subjects.

*** Please note that students will receive weekly and daily printables. We will using the Eureka Math, Ph.dScience, World History, Next Generation Science Curriculum and Read Works curriculum. All class materials will be provided to students through the Outschool platform. Students are expected to have all materials in class as it is essential to learning. We will read reading materials during our class visits. All reading materials will be on-grade level. Students can access several interactive learning websites, such as NearPod and Zearn. Zearn is an interactive website used to enhance our learners' math and will only be used in class. Learners will have homework through the interactive learning website, allowing me to give effective feedback to learners.
