Each week, we will talk about one of the four seasons and listen and interact with a movement from Vivaldi's Four Seasons. We will open each class with the song "I love the seasons." Then we will talk about each season and some characteristics of each season. We will discuss the weather and what we may wear and do in each season. We will also sing or learn rhymes about each season. Then we will listen and move to the week's movement from Vivaldi's Four Seasons. The teacher will guide the students to think about the season as they move to the music. Week 1- Spring- Song- Dig in the Ground Week 2- Summer- Song- The Waves on the Beach Week 3- Fall- Songs- The Apple Tree and Here is a Squirrel Week 4- Winter- Songs- Colorful Winter By the end of the class, students will have learned characteristics about each season and know that Vivaldi was a composer who wrote The Four Seasons.

Because the students will be moving as they interact with the music, parental supervision is recommended and I would encourage parents to ensure that the students have room to move around the room.

Hi! My name is Tara Turnes and I would love to have you in my class. I offer private flute classes and group flute technique classes. I also teach music theory from basic note reading to chord analysis.
I began studying the flute at age 13 and continued my studies at Florida State University where I graduated with a Bachelor's Degree in Instrumental Music Education. I have taught band and general music in the public school system of Jacksonville, FL. I have taught private woodwind and piano lessons since graduation and also teach group flute and recorder classes for homeschoolers.
I believe that everyone can learn something from and enjoy music. Music enhances every aspect of my life and teach so that I can share this with others.
Currently I live in Central Virginia with my husband, five children and my dog. 評論
