In this class students will learn how big the ocean really is and why it is so important to our planet. Week 1Lesson 1Lesson 1We will discuss the depth and length of the ocean and how the 5 zones of the ocean are different.Week 2Lesson 2Lesson 2Students will learn why the ocean is salty. Where the salt comes from and how much salt the ocean contains.Week 3Lesson 3Lesson 3Students will learn about some amazing ocean life. They will learn about animals they probably have never heard of or seen. They will also hear some interesting facts about animals that are commonly know . We will break down myths many believe about sharks.Week 4Lesson 4Lesson 4Students will learn why the ocean is important to all of life and not just ocean animals. We will discuss what would happen if the oceans dried up. Students will learn how all of life is dependent upon the ocean.

I believe in feeding children's natural curiosity. I have a BA from Geneva College and have over a decade experience teaching children and teens. I use to hold credentials through the State of Ohio Department of Education (expired) and worked for my local public school system for over 2 years. I have been an online teacher for five years and pride myself on never letting kids get bored yet always be learning. I have experience leading hundreds of students into the world of science. I have 5 years of teaching engaging science class (earth space, biology, physics) in both an online and public school setting.
