In this exciting and innovative class, learners will embark on a creative journey into the world of Adobe Photoshop's cutting-edge Artificial Intelligence (AI) tools. The class will include fun and engaging projects that encourage students to use AI to create enhanced and imaginative artworks. This class is designed to introduce budding artists and photographers to these remarkable AI tools and inspire them to unlock their creative potential. - ✳️ Learners will explore and implement a range of tools within Adobe PhotoShop® tools to create their own AI generated/edited images ready for export. Learners will be given guidance on how develop their designs further outside of the classroom. ✳️ Learners will engage in thoughtful discussions and practical exercises to gain a deep understanding of the ethical implications surrounding AI in image editing, ensuring they become responsible and conscientious digital artists.
I have been fortunate to have been involved in education services for over 30 years and have extensive experience delivering classroom-based lessons and online digital e-learning packages to both schools and home educated students. I have taught, as a qualified teacher, in mainstream schools for 20 plus years, and hold a Post Graduate Certificate in Education. I really enjoy teaching digital i-Media and like to spend my free time creating digital content and digital art.

Adobe PhotoShop® cannot be learnt fully in a few hours and students are advised to experiment and explore the tools. Learners can continue to extend their designs further in the following class if they wish.
Students may find it useful to have paper and a pen during class. Access to a printer to print out any guidance sheets is advisable.

✳️ This class requires learners to have latest desktop version of Adobe PhotoShop® (version 25.1.0 or higher) installed before class. it is recommended that you check that your computer can support the app before signing up to class; the required system specifications can be found at: https://helpx.adobe.com/uk/photoshop/system-requirements.html ✳️ Parents can purchase a subscription to Adobe PhotoShop® before class, via the App Store as a single app or as part of a Adobe Design Mobile bundle: https://apps.apple.com/app/id1018784575/ ✳️ Parents may like to download the trial version to see if the package is suitable before considering a subscription. Eligible learners can purchase the Adobe Creative Cloud package at a discounted cost. Parents can find details at https://www.adobe.com/uk/creativecloud/buy/students.html Students may find it helpful to have access to an image library such as the free version of Canva.com. Canva requires all account holders to be aged 13 or older. It is recommended that all students log in with a parent account. Adobe PhotoShop® is a complex but exciting editing package – learners will need to have realistic expectations about their level of achievement in each session. They are welcome to use the classroom messaging system for further guidance if needed after the class. Learners will need access to different device or screen to the one they are working on so that they can watch the teacher demonstration.
