In this ongoing class, students will practice their English conversation skills with other classmates. This class is led by a certified teacher in Elementary Education with TEFL and TESOL certificates. Students will be given a conversation topic to look through before class. In class, students will be given the opportunity to do a show and tell at the beginning of class. We will review the assigned topic as a class and look at examples then, students will be given the opportunity to discuss that week's topic. This class will be open to students at all levels of English Conversation. I believe that students that are in classes with differing levels of ability are given wonderful opportunities to teach and learn from their peers, allowing each learner to grow at their own pace. Students will be provided each week a topic to review for class. I am Mrs V, as my classroom students call me. I teach phonics, grammar, science, math, and music classes. I am licensed to teach kindergarten through 6th grade. I also have a minor in music. I taught preschool for 6 years and I did student teaching in kindergarten, 2nd, 3rd, and 6th grades. I have worked part time in the public school system for the last 5 years. I homeschool my two youngest children and enjoy finding fun new ways to teach things. I also teach ESL classes online. I believe that including the student's interests into the lesson engages the learning and makes learning fun and more easily attainable. Fun, hands on activities and games provide an engaging learning environment. My hobbies are animals (I live on a small farm), music (I minored in music), reading and crocheting. I love working with children and seeing the light in their eyes when they learn something new. 評論
