One of the best things about being a homeschooler is being in charge of your own schedule and the extra free time in your day! In this class we will be learning how to best use several time-management and self-monitoring tools to be able to take advantage of your flexible schedule and best utilize your time! In this class, we will discuss different strategies and then look at scenarios to work through how we can best use the strategies we learned about. Learners are encouraged to have a project or assignment from their homeschool curriculum to use along with this class to better help generalize what we're learning in class with their personal studies. Their personal assignment/project they use with this class will be used for the reflective assignment each week, but will not be shared with the class discussion if they do not wish to do so. A great example of an assignment to use with this class could be: a 5 paragraph essay, a science fair project, or building an arts sculpture.

Self-Monitoring
In this lesson, we will discuss strategies to become better aware of how we spend and manage our time, for better or for worse. The first step to help yourself improve in being a self-starter is to see how you currently operate. 課 2:
Backwards Mapping
After we determine how we currently use our time, we will learn how to manage our time for a bigger project (a science project or maybe an essay). We'll learn how to chunk a bigger assignment into smaller pieces to get the job done in a more manageable way. 課 3:
Organizing Your Brain
In this lesson we will learn how to organize our thoughts to better become a better student. We'll learn how to use various graphic organizers and planners to help with several academic areas. 課 4:
Organizing Your Space
In this lesson, we will focus on how to organize our physical space to help us stay engaged and focused with the task at hand. We'll discuss color coding folders, having a tidy and well-lit learning space, and more! 其他詳情
