課堂經歷
This is a discussion Language Arts course about the history of the English language. We will do this through discussing the 6 ways words have been added to the English language. We will discuss examples of each through word stories. I will also use props as visuals to help students comprehension! For example, I will show a dollar bill when discussing a dollar. Students will be encouraged to share examples of each way as well. Then, we will look at words that have recently been added to the English dictionary. For this course, students will need to have a basic knowledge of the English language. They should be able to verbalize their ideas and thoughts. They should feel comfortable discussing English words they know and Latin and Greek root words. They should also be able to see similarities between different English words.

By the end of the class, students will have a basic understanding of English words and an appreciation of the English language. With this knowledge, students will expand their vocabulary and be able to express themselves better.其他詳情

Hello everyone! I am very excited to teach your student! I am an English/Language Arts, Spelling, Vocabulary, Reading Comprehension, and ESL teacher! I graduated Summa Cum Laude with my Bachelor's Degree in Education from The Ohio State University. I attended and graduated college on a full ride scholarship after submitting my best high school piece of writing.
Since then, I have been teaching in the classroom and ESL online for over a decade! I have my TESOL certification, and I have experience in teaching all grades! I love teaching English, Language Arts, ESL, and Spelling, and the origin of English words!
Additionally, I love seeing children learn and grow. My goal is to help children love learning English. When I teach children, I don't want to just talk at them- I want to talk to them, and I want them to talk back to me. In order to create bond and literacy development, children need the ability to talk back. The more we talk to children, the brighter they become!
