**What will be taught?** We’ll focus on 5th-grade math topics aligned with the California Common Core Standards. These include mastering fractions, decimals, and volume, as well as sharpening problem-solving skills. **How is your class structured?** Our daily structure will look like this: 1. **Warm-Up (5-10 mins):** Quick math problems or review questions to get ready for the lesson. 2. **Lesson (20 mins):** Interactive teaching with visuals, slides, and examples. 3. **Activity/Practice (20 mins):** Hands-on activities, group work, or independent practice. 4. **Reflection (5-10 mins):** Wrap-up discussions or sharing strategies used to solve problems. **How will you teach?** I’ll use a mix of fun and effective strategies to help students succeed, including: - Step-by-step examples with clear visuals. - Group activities and games to practice skills. - Videos or real-world scenarios to show how math applies to everyday life. - Frequent checks for understanding and opportunities for questions. **What's your teaching style?** My teaching style is fun, engaging, and student-centered. I encourage participation and celebrate mistakes as learning opportunities. I focus on making math concepts clear and relatable, so everyone feels confident about their progress. **How much will learners get to interact with you?** Students will interact with me and each other through: - **Interactive lessons:** Asking and answering questions throughout the class. - **Games and group activities:** Collaborative problem-solving. - **Discussions:** Sharing strategies and ideas. - **One-on-one help:** I’ll check in with students during independent practice to provide extra support.
