In this 5 weeks multi-day course, I will give learners essay writing strategies to become successful writers. Learners will plan a prompt using an essay planning frame, create a written piece from start to finish. This is a live lecture-style course there will be Q and A during the course sessions, and learners will go through the complete phases of writing various pieces during each session. Each week will focus on an original style of writing. Week one learners will plan and create a descriptive writing essay. Week two learners will plan and create a narrative writing essay. Week three learners will plan and create an expository writing essay. Week four learners will plan and create a persuasive writing essay. Week five learners will create an opinion writing. Learners need little experience with writing but need to at least know that all writing pieces start with capitalized letters and use punctuation marks.

Learners will need paper, notebook, pencil, or pen to write with. If learners do not have these items at home they can purchase them at the local area Dollar Tree/Store, grocery stores (ex: Aldi's), Big Lots, Drug stores (ex: CVS/Walgreens), or Walmart/Target for around $5.00

I have worked with students in the Florida Public School System for over 20 years. I have taught in all the core subject areas in elementary education. My experience ranges from remedial to gifted. Two years ago, I began tutoring online and focused on my passion. My online teaching experience has provided me an opportunity to find alternative ways to communicate and teach students effectively.
My classroom focuses on the individual student, and their success is of my utmost importance. With such an extensive teaching background, I have learned strategies to make material adaptive when needed through presentation methods and delivery of material. I work to maintain a line of open communication with parents so that all students may succeed.
I am always learning and bettering myself. I enjoy swimming, reading, cooking, baking, taking photos, trying new foods, and traveling to new places.評論
