ESL：英語作為第二語言小組-會話技巧-PRE A1

What will be taught and topics covered? 
This is an ESL small group class taught by an experienced VIP kid teacher. Children will learn and practice English skills in a relaxing, enjoyable environment. A few topics we may discuss are toys, hobbies, family, school, food, sports, etc. Each lesson will be different and geared toward the  children in our group. I am also able to help with flyers prep. This level class is Pre-A1, therefore students should have a basic understanding of topics, such as weather, colors, and numbers. 


How is your class structured?

Introduction: We will begin each session with introductions and each student will take turns. 

Relevance: Before we begin the lesson, I will explain how the day's lesson connects to real-life situations and previous lessons to enhance understanding and retention.

Introduction of Vocabulary Words: I will introduce new vocabulary relevant to the topic of the week. Vocabulary words will be relevant to the appropriate level of children in the group. 

Interactive Practice: I have many different games and activities like matching exercises, flashcards, and role-playing to help with repetition of new words and phrases. 

Grammar Concept Explanation: I provide a clear explanation of the grammar rule or concept that we are going over. Then, we will engage in exercises that involve sentence construction and error correction to apply the new grammar rules or review old ones.

Listening Activities: I may use audio recordings or videos to develop listening skills, followed by comprehension questions.

Speaking Practice: Students may practice speaking among one another with dialogues, presentations, or debates, focusing on pronunciation and fluency. This will be level dependent and always geared towards the group. 

Reading Comprehension: Students read fun passages and answer questions that test their understanding.

At the end of each lesson, students will be able to ask questions to me and the other learners. I will also clarify any doubts that were not previously discussed. I highly encourage this with the kids, as it is a great way to enrich their speaking skills.
