Students will listen to pieces by Ravel, Chopin, Rimsky-Korsakov, Mendelssohn, Debussy, and Smetana as they solve riddles and decipher codes to escape the ship. Here is the game's premise: "Tomorrow is the grand opening of the 'Pirate Ship Experience', a museum that is on an actual ship, decorated to be a replica of a real pirate ship! You receive a special invitation in the mail to attend a private tour of the ship, and of course, you can't resist. You follow the signs on the ship and find yourself locked inside the pirate's cabin. The only way to escape is to solve the mysterious puzzles the pirate has left behind!" Students will learn a bit about the music, and do a bit of basic music analysis along the way, but no previous music experience is required.

I have taught music history & theory, music appreciation, piano lessons, and other music courses from preschoolers to adults, over the past 15 years. I currently teach piano lessons, and music courses at a community college.
I have a Bachelor of Music degree in Piano Performance, and a Master of Music degree in Piano Pedagogy. My main instrument is the piano, but I also play the harp for fun, and I'm teaching myself to play the banjo. In my spare time, I enjoy discovering new music (the weirder the better!), modern art, eating dark chocolate, and figuring out how magic tricks are done!評論
