-Extra dice. Some abilities or weapons use multiple of the same kind and makes rolling faster if you can roll them all at once.
Example: The greatsword dead 2 six sided dice in damage every time it hits. Sleep spell rolls 5 eight sided dice when you cast it. If you can roll all the dice at the same time it will save time and easier to add them up for the total.
