Welcome to English Cafe! In this 1-1 class, learners will be encouraged to participate and practice speaking in English on various topics with me and learn new vocabulary words and phrases. Learners will practice public speaking through self-introduction where they will share some details about themselves with the teacher. They are free to determine how much they would like to share based on their comfort level. I will use prompts, language games, and other suitable activities to ensure learners are engaged in meaningful conversations throughout the class. Learners will improve their confidence as they learn new vocabulary words and phrases in each class. This is a 1-1 class with each week covering different topics as shown below. Learners are encouraged to attend as many classes as they like. Content will be personalized to suit learners' needs. Week 1: Family Learners will learn vocabulary words and phrases related to the topic of family, and practice speaking about their own families. Week 2: Hobbies Learners will learn vocabulary words and phrases related to hobbies, and practice speaking about what they enjoy doing in their spare time. Week 3: Food and Drinks Learners will learn vocabulary words and phrases related to food and drinks, and practice speaking about their favorite food and drinks. Week 4: Emotions and Feelings Learners will learn vocabulary words and phrases related to emotions and feelings, and practice speaking about expressing emotions and feelings. Week 5: The Weather Learners will learn vocabulary words and phrases related to the weather, and practice speaking about different weather conditions. Week 6: Entertainment Learners will learn vocabulary words and phrases related to different forms of entertainment, and practice speaking about the topic. Week 7: Sports Learners will learn vocabulary words and phrases related to different sports, and practice speaking about their favorite sports. Week 8: Health Learners will learn vocabulary words and phrases related to being healthy, and practice speaking about healthy lifestyles. This class will be conducted using American English. Any corrections will be made following this convention. For small group classes, please check out my other class offerings.

I teach ESL classes to learners who want to practice and expand their conversational skills in English, and improve their English language fluency. I specialize in 1-1 and small group classes, and offer both options on Outschool.
I have taught ESL for more than 15 years to children and adults who do not speak English as their first language, both in person and online. My teaching style is warm and welcoming, and I strive to create a welcoming environment for all students regardless of their ability.
I have a Bachelor's in Elementary ESL and a Master's in Learning and Technology, and have taught ESL in the US as well as abroad. 評論
