*Now with letter sound introduction* In this ongoing class, learners will meet twice a week to discuss the days of the week, weather, month and the monthly theme. We will cover a new theme every month. In each class we will go over our calendar to learn about the month, days of the week and numbers. We then will learn vocabulary words of the month‘s theme and practice them by playing games and/or singing songs. September: School October: Fall and Halloween November: Food December: German Christmas January: Winter February: Pets and Valentines March: Body April: Spring/Farm May: Zoo June: Summer This class is offered in two different formats: immersion and non-immersion. This is the non-immersion class, which means that I will speak a mixture of English and German. Students will receive a monthly calendar with optional activities to practice the learned vocabulary each day. Students will receive digitial and paper activities as well as our weekly podcast to practice German. Week of September 12-16: School supplies Week of September 19-23: Classroom Week of September 26-30: People at School Week of October 03-07: Playground I hope to see you in my classroom! Frau Collett

Hello! My name is Frau Collett (Mrs. Collett). I am a native German speaker. I lived the first 24 years of my life in Germany and have lived 13 years in the US. I have a Masters degree in Early Childhood and Elementary School Education. I have been an Elementary School teacher at a German Elementary School for five years and an online teacher for another 5 years. I also taught students German as a second language. I love teaching German in a creative way by reading stories or using interactive tools that help children learn in a fun way. I have two children that I also raise bilingual. I love teaching and hope I will see you in my classroom!
