As an Elections Official, I've had the privilege of seeing learners accompany voters to polling facilities on Election Day. As they walk through these sites with voters, I've often wanted to answer the questions that seem to show on their faces: What does an Election Worker do? Why are we stopping at different stations inside of the polling site? What is the purpose of each station? Through the use of a PowerPoint presentation, short video clips, a glossary, and class discussion, learners will have the opportunity to gain insight into the "anatomy" of a polling station and the different jobs of Election workers on Election day. We will talk about the general workings of a polling site and the duties of its workers through the experience and knowledge of a trained Elections Official. A great class for Social Studies or Community Workers theme throughout the year.

Learn the basic set-up of a polling site.
Learn about the different roles of Election workers at voting sites.
Learn about each station at an Elections site and what happens there.
Quiz breaks during the class to check understanding.
