Memorizing obscure vocabulary or trying to understand the tone of a long reading passage *might* help students on the SAT.


The problem is that the new Digital SAT (the only one being offered starting 2024) doesn't test for vocabulary out of context, nor does it have long reading passages. 

The format is completely new, and this on-going class is designed to prepare students so that they build the necessary skills while practicing the *correct* format. Students will learn each and every question type and grammar rule that they'll encounter on test day, and complete a pre-test and post-test to track progress, as well as plenty of practice questions which are worked into the curriculum.

What to Expect:

In this once-weekly class, students will learn key rules and strategies at the beginning of class and will spend the bulk of class actively working on test questions. After each question, we'll review how to eliminate wrong answers and select the correct one. Optional homework is posted 2-5 times a week on the class page.

Grammar: Rhetoric Questions

Reading: Conclusions Question Type
Grammar: Review of all grammar rules

*Please note that I have an on-going version of this class. The tips and homework are the same, but I switch out the practice questions in case students take both classes. The main difference is that this semester class has double the amount of class time, so students have more time to practice each week. 
**This class may be cancelled due to low enrollment. We need a minimum of two students to begin the semester class. I'll let you know if we don't reach that number.
