Get ready for this egg-citing camp. You will definitely need a dozen eggs for this. Day 1 Biology What is an egg? We will learn the anatomy of a raw egg from the outer shell to the inside. How does an egg spin? How does it roll? Spinning and rolling an egg is easy but what happens if it's raw or boiled? Will the egg float or sink? Day 2 Chemistry (Parental supervision needed) What happens if we burn an egg? What happens to an eggshell if we put it in vinegar? Let's find out! Day 3 Physics...
The goal is to have children learn to have fun with science and hypothesize what will happen in an experiment based on what they know about eggs.
I've been teaching children Science experiments for over thirty-five years. I have taught elementary to high school age students. I love teaching children and watching their faces light up when doing experiments. Making Science fun is my goal.

1 dozen eggs (6 boiled and 6 raw) glass of water ruler enough books to reach 6 inches high when stacked paper plate vinegar box of salt measuring spoons wide mouth jar (mason jar) narrow-mouth jar (frappuccino glass bottle) long tipped big lighter or matches (parental supervision advised) tape 6 sheets of paper straws 3 plastic bags candle tongs tray to collect spills paper towels or cloth towel empty plastic water bottle Cereal cardboard or cardboard from the back of a spiral tablet
There are a few experiments that involve heat with either a match or candle. Supervision will be needed for these labs.
