This class is intended to get your students learning science using hands on and edible activities. When class starts we will review their background knowledge to see their understanding of the subject. This lesson will explore the states of matter and how cooling changes matter by making ice cream in a bag. Students will need to be able to make ice cream in the baggies. While younger students may need some support, any help parents provide, must be done offscreen. During this class we will be using food items such as sugar, vanilla extract, ice, half and half, and rock salt. This is listed in case there are possible allergens such as dairy.
