Imagine waking up to find a jungle outside your bedroom door! What will you do? How will you get home? In this fun escape game, you do exactly that - wake up to a jungle. Work with your peers to find and solve clues to get back home. Will you make it? This escape game uses multiplication and division skills to solve puzzles as students make their way through three different ecosystems to get back home. Learners should have previous knowledge of multiplication and division for this activity. No prior knowledge of ecosystems is needed - however students may learn a new fact or two about the ecosystems. The first few minutes of class will be spent going over expectations. The next couple minutes we will go over what an escape game is and how this one works. Then students will work as a team to find and solve clues involving puzzles and other activities involving multiplication and division. They will use these clues to unlock the various locks to get back home! I will provide assistance as needed. Due to the nature of Escape games, the class may be slightly longer or shorter depending on how quickly students move through the clues.

Students will improve their critical thinking skills, develop stronger social skills and practice working with others as they practice their multiplication and division skills.

Hello! I am Miss Kelly, and I love teaching! I am a former public school teacher, turned stay at home mom/online teacher. I am mom to 3 little ones, triplets, and I love that I get to work from home and be with them more!
I will be hosting a majority math-based classes, though I will add in language arts or science classes as well from time to time.
I am a certified teacher, moving out of the classroom and into a small group setting. I love working with small groups of students on interesting topics and making learning fun and hands on. I believe students learn best when they can work on activities hands-on and even more so if it can relate to their life in some way. I also love to teach/learn through games!評論
