In this class, students will follow the scientific method to test which of their easter eggs will sink or which will float. Students will bring 3 - 4 plastic easter eggs filled with different items (for example, one egg might be filled with jelly beans, one with pennies, one with paper clips, and one with raisins). Students will take turns sharing what is inside their eggs and making predicitions on whether they think that egg will sink or float. After we have made our predictions, we will test out our objects in a hands on experiment. Students will be encouraged to share their observations and conclusions. After the experiment, if time allows, the teacher will have the students make some additional predictions about items the teacher brings. This class will be interactive and hands on, allowing learners to fully engage in the content. There is no prior experience or knowledge needed! **This class is offered in March and April**

Hello to Everyone! My name is Miss Meghan and I can’t wait to meet your child. I enjoy teaching a variety of classes for preschool and early elementary ages.
I hold a Master's Degree in Early Childhood Special Education. At the beginning of my career, I worked extensively with children with autism in home settings designing programs to help students access the world around them in an empowering way. After my oldest daughter was born, I became a licensed childcare provider creating a home away from home for many children to grow and learn. When my youngest daughter was born, I decided it was time to explore other options and that is how I landed at Outschool. I am so grateful for this opportunity and love meeting new learners from all over the world.
I have a passion for instilling a love of learning in young children through exposure, messy play, and fun! I strongly believe that letting children delve into learning at their own level and allowing for different types of learning styles sets children up for a life long learning journey.
In addition to teaching on Outschool, I also homeschool my two daughters who are my pride and joy. I feel so grateful to have a career that I love that also affords me the opportunity to spend time with my own children as well. In my free time, I enjoy art, brainstorming new lesson ideas, cross stitch, and reading!
