Let's play the most popular fantasy role playing game of all time, Dungeons & Dragons! This character creation workshop and campaign is for younger kids who have no experience or limited experience with Dungeons & Dragons and role-playing games in general. In this class learners from 7 to 10 will use a simplified version of the Dungeons & Dragons rules to create an original character. We will then take the characters on quests to prove how brave and valiant they are! This class will be...
Role playing games are excellent ways to work on math and reading skills. They can also help strengthen team work, creative problem solving, leadership, and communication skills. Creating a character can also help learners with decision making skills and cost/benefit evaluations. Of course, it is a great way to stimulate creativity and imagination!
2 註冊後即可取得文件Learners will need the simplified D&D rules that will be sent upon enrollment. In addition having the D&D Basic rules from the Wizards of the Coast website is helpful, but not required. The D&D Basic rules can be found here: https://media.wizards.com/2018/dnd/downloads/DnD_BasicRules_2018.pdf Learners will also need a set of role playing game dice. These can be found at hobby shops, book stores, or comic shops. They can also be ordered online from Amazon and other retailers. Learners can also use online dice rollers or apps. Learners will also need a pencil. I will provide a character sheet to help with character creation. A printed character sheet is helpful but not required.
