Students will learn how to draw with pastels and how to use them correctly on the paper. These are the class dates when we are meeting and the subject that we will be drawing for the rest of the year: 18-24 Feb 2024 Fruit 25 Feb - 2 Mar 2024 Birds 3-9 Mar 2024 Sea Shells 10-16 Mar 2024 Glass of water 17-23 Mar 2024 Horses/Unicorns 24-30 Mar 2024 (your choice) 31 Mar - 6 Apr 2024 Candy 7-13 Apr 2024 Elephants 14-20 Apr 2024 Human faces 21-27 Apr 2024 Human body 28 Apr -4 May 2024 Flowers 5-11 May 2024 Castles 12-18 May 2024 Bears 19 - 25 May 2024 your choice 26 May - 1 Jun 2024 Insects/butterflies 2-8 Jun 2024 Sea creatures 9-15 Jun 2024 Flying Machines 16-22 Jun 2024 Land animals 23-29 Jun 2024 Your pet (then we repeat the subjects)
學習目標
Students will learn how to create a line drawing (5-10 drawings per class) and how to use pastels, pencil.
Drawings do not have to resemble the teachers drawing nor do they have to be perfect.
We will focus on shading, proportion, and lines.
New drawing and color techniques for pastels will be provided each week.

I have an extensive art background in drawing, painting, and clay. I went to a VPA(Visual and Performing Arts School all through middle school and high school). I took art in college but got my BA and MA in Sociology and later earned a teaching degree. I have homeschooled my three daughters and I always included an art class and field trips to the High Museum in ATL, GA. I taught art in an actual elementary school in Massachusetts in the after school programs. I taught art in an actual middle school in Massachusetts in the special needs classroom in the mornings before school.評論
