課堂經歷
In this ongoing class, students will get to join with others that enjoy drawing horses. Each session 45 minutes, giving everyone time to start a drawing or progress on a current drawing. During class, we'll chat about why we like horses, our experiences, funny stories, and anything equine related that comes up. At the end of each session students will have a chance to share what they drew and any story behind it. I will emphasize that this is NOT a contest-based class, meaning that I am not giving drawing instruction. I want students to feel welcomed and enjoy their time without the pressure of competition and having to draw an assignment instead of what is in their own imagination. No prior experience required. Sessions do not build off of each other, each class is unique and learner-influenced. I keep a "relaxed" policy on all my classes, I find that some people in the overall horse community can take things too seriously and it destroys all the fun and puts unnecessary pressure on students. Canva is used briefly for going over class rules and a quick brainstorming session. Calming, instrumental focus music plays in the background as the class goes on. Again, this is NOT a step-by-step instructional class. I will not be instructing students on how to draw. I am, however, more than happy to help with brainstorming a drawing idea.
學習目標
Students will get to expand their social and drawing skills all while being surround by fellow horse enthusiasts.

父母的引導和規範
I have a few general rules that I like to abide by so our classes run smoothly:
1. Avoid interrupting the teacher/other students. I know internet lag can cause overlap, so try to make sure the other person is done talking first to help mitigate this. Raising your hand if you have a question or comment also helps keep things orderly and gives everyone a chance to talk.
2. Participate in class in a quiet room, if possible. If there is background noise, please mute yourself unless you are speaking.
3. Per Outschool policy, parents must stay off camera and not interact with the class (this includes posing as the child in the chat and messaging functions, telling the child what to say or do, challenging/asking/interacting with the teacher). Of course, if your student is having technical difficulties you can help them. I am more than happy to interact with parents outside of class time via Outschool’s private messaging system.
4. Do not distract the class by abusing drawing tools in Zoom.
5. Use the chat box for things relevant to class. I check it every time that it is used and if it is for goofing off it takes away time from other students who are paying attention.
6. Per Outschool policy, all students must turn on their cameras so I can confirm their identity for safety reasons. Once I have confirmed this, I have no problem with them preferring to keep the camera off.
7. If you are having internet connectivity issues, please let me know.
8. If the student will be absent for a class, please let me know ahead of time if possible so I can adjust the class accordingly.
9. Students that are misbehaving get two warnings, then the third offense will result in the child being put in the Zoom waiting room until the class has concluded. No refunds will be given if this has occurred.
For any inquiries/comments regarding classes, please message me privately so I can do my best to address your needs. Thanks!

I seek to educate, encourage, and empower the individuals who want to live the "horse life", even if they weren't born into it (and if you were, great!). Picture me as the horse-loving aunt just around the corner, always ready to share my passion.
No matter your experience level, horse access, riding style, or years of horse enthusiasm, I'm here to support you on your journey. Teaching about horses brings me immense joy, and the only requirements for my classes is a love for these magnificent animals, a desire to connect with those like-minded, and a willingness to learn.
Ever since I was young, horses have been my ultimate passion. I never outgrew my "horse-crazy" phase, but my family had zero background in the equine world. Having experienced the longing for horses without access myself, I empathize deeply with kids in similar situations. My journey led me to adopt Dashi, my almost 5 yr old Fox Hog HMA mustang, who has become a central part of my content and life. Now it is my personal mission to make horses as accessible as I can for everyone who yearns for them.
I strongly believe that these creatures offer valuable life lessons. They can boost our confidence, instill responsibility, foster patience, enhance problem-solving abilities, and bring infinite fun and adventure.
With a unique teaching style that combines informative insights, humor, and personalized content, my priority is to ensure that every learner I encounter feels engaged and understood. My down-to-earth approach has helped me be relatable and approachable (as I’ve been told), welcoming students of all experience levels with open arms. My hope is that my dedication to sharing my knowledge and fostering a love for horses in my students shines through in all content I produce.
I will never profess to have all the answers, but I am dedicated to being a lifelong student of the horse. They constantly offer insight, provided we are open to learning from them and willing to understand them. Living the "horse life" is more than just a lifestyle; it thrives through shared experiences being passed through and between the generations.
