Warrior Cats can seem like complicated things to draw, but it's easier than you think! We begin with basic, easily understood shapes, then walk through which elements to add, piece-by-piece, to make the shapes more recognizable as our favorite felines from the Warrior Cat Series. We then show how to add details and smooth edges around our more basic shapes to make our final polished drawing. Students will learn the foundations of art drawing and sketching. They learn how to lay down the basic outline of the shapes needed to form their concept and transform this into their vision. They learn perspective, shading and we work on breaking down lines/angles/shapes to fully realize our inspiration. Through fostering a love of art and channeling their passion for this exciting subject matter, we equip learners with the tools they need to improve their art work, know how to critically correct their work and incorporate their artistic unique flair. These skills can then be transferred across to other subject matters.
We keep the supplies simple so preparation for the class is accessible to all learners. A high quality drawing pencil, eraser, sharpener and paper is all that is needed. However, artists are welcome to bring extra supplies (color pencils, chalk, oil pastels, water colors, acrylic paint etc) to make their creation their own.
