Hello! My name is Patti Barber and I have been an art teacher in Marlton, New Jersey since 2004 and an English as a Second Language teacher since 2017.  When it comes to art,  my number one rule in my classroom is the nothing has to be perfect. I show my students how to transform their so called "mistakes" into beautiful and creative masterpieces.  I feel it is my job to encourage and to foster the confidence so all children feel like artists.  In 2017 I  joined VIPKID teaching English to children in China over the internet.  I love teaching over the internet and I look forward to connecting with my students across the globe each day. I make learning English fun while still correcting pronunciation. I am encouraging and patient with my ESL learners so they will feel confident to speak. I enjoy reading (weekly trips to the public library is a must in my house), traveling with my family (our current quest is to see all 50 states - currently visited 28/50) and sharing my love of history with my kids (touring historical houses is a must on all our trips).
