Every week the subject matter in this class will change but have the same basic elements! Students will learn/review the elements of art (line and shape). Using these elements, we will draw together. After drawing, we will review another element of art (color). We will use watercolors to paint our drawings together. The last step is to add details like animated faces to the pieces! Week 1-We will make cute fall pumpkins. Week 2-We will make an adorable mushroom. Week 3-We will make some fun acorns with personality. Week 4-We will warm up by painting delicious hot chocolate.

Students will draw a picture using line and shape.Students will paint their picture using color mixing and painting techniques.

Hi! I am an Elementary Art Teacher in Colorado. I have been a teacher for 14 years, starting as a kindergarten teacher and I have taught art for the past 10 years to students in kindergarten through fifth grade. I love creating and fostering a love for art, starting at a young age. I do this by helping students have a strong understanding of art history and techniques famous artists have used, as well as an emphasis on the elements of art and principles of design.
