In this on-going lesson students will learn an art technique that is specific to them. My artistic background allows for large variety of lessons that can be prearranged to meet the young artists interests. Aspiring artists can learn a wide variety of pencil shading techniques. We can practice drawing still life's, portraits, and landscapes using the various techniques as a reference. Students can learn how to correctly draw the dimensions of a realistic face, as well as draw more abstract portraits and caricatures. They can also learn about the Principles and Elements of Design and how to apply them in their own works of art. The purpose of these 1-to-1 lessons are to meeting the young artists specific interests and help them learn, and love what they create!

I am a trained studio artist who has years of experience creating commissioned drawings and paints. I have over 15 years of experience teaching art lessons to students ages 4 to 15, as well as individuals who have a variety of physical/intellectual abilities. My masters in Art Therapy has given me a deep understanding of not only the value of artistic practices in a child's life, but also of the importance of improving one's self-confidence and self-esteem through art.
