In this self-paced class, students will create 6 silly stories. Using picture cards, students will be provided with images to draw cartoon scenarios that will be used to create a story. Students are provided with three cards per story. Cards include a "what", an emotion, and a location. Using these three items, students will write at least two sentences focusing on proper writing conventions (spelling, grammar, capitalization, and punctuation". Students will receive a printable document that contains a writing checklist, example, and workspace needed to create their silly stories. Create a Silly Story!
This lesson guides students on how to draw different cartoon scenarios that are accompanied by short stories. Picture cards include essential parts to form a story (a "what", a "where", and an emotion). Short story writing focuses on the development of simple sentences that contain proper writing conventions (spelling, grammar, capitalization, and punctuation). Students are asked to write a minimum of two sentences per story to practice their writing. 其他詳情
