戲劇極限：創造我們自己的遊戲營

Ready to spend a week immersed in the world of theatre? In this week long camp, campers will have a chance to explore all aspects of drama! Campers will play plenty of creative drama games, come up with fun skits together with their fellow campers, and even star in an original play written just for them. Each camper will be able to choose a character that they wish to play, whether it's one they've always wanted to be or one they come up with through their own imagination. I will then write a play incorporating all of the characters, where all students get a starring role. I am an experienced youth theatre director, elementary school teacher, and summer camp leader. I have a deep passion for theatre and love passing it on to all of the children I work with. This camp will be fun both for those new to theatre who have always wanted to try it out and for those who are more experienced and wish to dive back into an activity they love! 

Below is a more detailed breakdown of each day of camp:

Day 1 - Getting Started with Theatre
In the first day of camp, campers will get to know each other and begin to activate their imaginations. They will introduce themselves in fun ways, play plenty of creative games, participate in a scavenger hunt drama challenge, and come up with a series of tableaux images in smaller groups. They will also have a chance to brainstorm character ideas and to select the character that they wish to play in the camp production.

Day 2 - Creating the Environment
In the second day of camp, campers will learn how to create an immersive environment for both themselves and the audience, especially when performing online. They will play a variety of games designed to help them create an environment from their imagination, and come up with a fun skit in a smaller group. They will also get their first chance to rehearse the script for our camp production, and design backdrops that can be used in different scenes! 

Day 3 - Becoming Characters
The third day of camp will be all about characters! Campers will be able to perform a wide variety of different fun and wacky characters through games, improvisation, a costume drama challenge, and skit creation. They will continue to rehearse the camp production script, and will choose costumes out of their own wardrobes to wear in the show! 

Day 4 - Voice and Movement
In the fourth day of camp, campers will learn how the voice and the body are an actor's greatest tools. They will participate in a variety of warm-up exercises to train their voices and bodies, play games designed to help them learn these skills and apply their new vocal skills to the creation of a fun Voki. We will also hold the final rehearsals for our camp production. 

Day 5 - The Performance
The final day of camp will be performance day! Students will calm any jitters by participating in games and improvisation exercises, learn how to warm-up before a show, and will finally get to star in our camp production! At the end of the camp, each camper will receive a special certificate designed to recognize the unique gifts they brought to our theatre space.
