每週 1-2 小時. Since this is a reading and discussion class, students will need to complete the reading outside of class time. But during class, students will work together to complete a literary device journal. This will be shared and uploaded into the classroom together each week for students to reference.評估
An optional essay will be available for students at the end of the course which builds off of the work (analysis, journal, and discussion) we completed in class.我們無法翻譯此文,請刷新頁面並再試一次。

During the course, students will read, discuss, and analyze "The Strange Case of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde", a classic story that questions the lines that need to be drawn when it comes to science and experimentation. Students will participate in Socratic Seminar discussions while working together to develop a collaborative literary device journal. We will also work through examples of these devices to gain a deeper understanding of the text. I have taught many book studies in my professional career. I am currently running multiple novel studies on Outschool that have been met with great success and interest. I love taking part in discussions and ensuring that the students' needs and interests are met as they read. We will cover many literary devices throughout our discussions by developing a literary journal documenting our understanding of the text. There will also be an option to write an essay at the end which I am happy to provide feedback or to tutor students on.
