課堂經歷
Did you know that some dogs spend their days saving lives, guiding people, or even protecting the planet? In this exciting class, we'll explore the world of working dogs & learn all about their special jobs. From service dogs to search & rescue heroes, to therapy dogs & conservation sniffers, we'll learn how these pups are trained, the skills that they use & how they make the world a better place. Each week we'll focus on a specific type of working dog, learning through stories, interactive discussions, videos & more. This class is perfect for animal lovers who are keen to learn more about working dogs, how they are trained & what their roles are in our world. Each week is standalone so feel free to join in at any point! Week of February 17th - Week 1: Guide Dogs. Week of February 24th - Week 2: Search & Rescue Dogs. Week of March 3rd - Week 3: Police K9 Dogs. Week of March 10th - Week 4: Therapy Dogs. Week of March 17th - Week 5: Detection Dogs. Week of March 24th - Week 6: Service Dogs. Week of March 31st - Week 7: Sled Dogs. Week of April 7th - Week 8: Farm Dogs. Week of April 14th - Week 9: Military Dogs. Week of April 21st - Week 10: Conservation Dogs. Week of April 28th - Week 11: Medical Alert Dogs. Week of May 5th - Week 12: Dogs in Films.

I am an IMDT-qualified dog trainer with a deep passion for all animals. My experience as a professional dog trainer for over 8 years has given me a unique understanding of animal behavior & the strong bonds between humans & animals, particularly dogs.
I regularly work with children & their dogs in class settings & on a one to one basis, teaching them how to stay safe around their dogs, including reading body language, how to teach their pets different commands, fun tricks & much more!
I have helped children to communicate & connect with a variety of animals including dogs, horses, snakes & other reptiles.
My teaching approach fosters empathy, curiosity & interactive learning.評論
