發現學習：分數研討會

Students in this workshop will discover numerous techniques for working with fractions. Each class includes a real world type problem (think word problem) and numerous problems exploring the days focus. The specific pace of the course of dependent on the needs and abilities of each group. Students will also have the opportunity in each class to teach their peers  their preferred strategy. 

In the first class, students will explore numerous strategies for reducing fractions. The second and third classes explore discovering strategies to find common denominators and make equivalent fractions by playing games and participating in hands on activities. The final class focuses on problem-solving techniques for converting fractions to mixed numbers as well as converting mixed numbers to fractions. 

This is a great introduction course for students getting ready to work on fractions, but is also a fantastic course for students struggling with fractions.
