Every two months, we will be working on finding a love of writing through different genres. Support will be given to each student wherever they are in their writing journey. Generally, class will be set up in the following way: 1. Class Discussion of Genre/ Making a Class "Poster" of Discussion 2. Teacher Modeling 3. Brainstorming through Notes, Graphic Organizers, etc... 4. Rough Draft 5. Writing Conferencing 6. Editing and Revising 7. Writing Conferencing 8. Publishing and Celebration January/ February: Fictional Narrative Writing March/ April: Personal Narrative Writing May/ June: Informational Writing July/ August: Persuasive Writing September/ October: Poetry

Class and Writing Genre Intro
We will get to know a little bit about each other and our interests with a quick game or activity and talk about how we feel about writing as a whole. We will discuss the genre for the class and make a "poster" of our discussion as a reference for writing. 35 分鐘線上直播課

Modeling and Brainstorming
I will model what brainstorming looks like with a think aloud process and use tools like sticky notes and graphic organizers. Students will begin their own brainstorming process for the genre. 35 分鐘線上直播課

Modeling and Rough Draft
I will model what a rough draft looks like with a think aloud process while using brainstorming notes. Students will begin their own rough draft for the genre. 35 分鐘線上直播課
課 4:
Revising and Editing Discussion, Modeling
We will have a guided discussion about what students know of revising and editing and writing samples to show what we should look for when we revise and edit our own and others' writing. We will make "posters" that we will later use to reference these skills. I will model this as I look at someone else's writing piece. 35 分鐘線上直播課
