In this Flex class students will learn multiplication using the Bubble Pop Fidget. This course will explore multiplication fact families 1-10 in 5 weeks. We will make it fun by using a bubble pop fidget to learn the fundamental concept of multiplication through skip counting and arrays. Week 1- 1s and 2s Week 2- 5s and 10s Week 3- 3s and 6s Week 4- 4s and 8s Week 5- 7s and 9s Weekly Lessons: Week One, I will provide one video that shows how students can solve 1s and 2s multiplication problems using a bubble pop fidget. Each subsequent week, I will provide two videos that show how students can solve that weeks multiplication problems using a bubble pop fidget. Interaction in this Flex Class: Students will receive links to multiplication games that they can use to solidify that week's skills. Each week students will be prompted to share pictures or a video to the classroom of them using their bubble pop fidget to solve multiplication problems Each week students will receive worksheets with multiplication problems that they will turn in to the teacher by the end of the week. The teacher will check and provide feedback on these worksheets. The teacher will share the weekly leaderboard from the Blooket games to the classroom page. Students can use a bubble pop fidget if they have one. If they don’t have one, it is not required. I have included a link to the one that I recommend in the supply list below. If you would like to use a fidget worksheet, one will be provided in the classroom. This is a Flex class; therefore, there will be no live meetings. Lessons will be provided via video recording.
