I will teach the basics of drawing on Procreate. I will explain how to create the dimension of a shape using shading. I will explain how to create a dimensional drawing using various digital techniques. I will demonstrate exercises for learners to practice their digital drawing and painting skills I will provide projects to be drawn through imagination or photographs. Photos will be shared directly from my computer desktop using an overhead video. You will not need to bring anything except your Apple iPad and Apple Pencil. I always encourage student input on their drawing preferences. In this class, we will draw fruit, animals, and landscapes. This class will cover the fundamentals of Procreate, including: Getting Started: Students will learn the basics of navigating the Procreate interface, setting up their canvas, and exploring available tools and brushes. These basics will be reviewed at the beginning of "every class". Drawing and Sketching: Students will explore various drawing techniques, including sketching, line art, and shading, as they create their unique illustrations. OCTOBER 1st - 6th Topic: How to use different Brushes in Procreate Learning the basics of Procreate. We will Draw and paint our Galaxy 7th - 14th Topic: How to use the Blending tool in Landscapes Learning the Basics of Procreate. We will Draw and paint a Landscape 15 -20th Topic: How to merge Layers Learning the Basics Of Procreate We will continue drawing a Sunrise NOVEMBER 1st -6th Topic: How to use colour in Procreate Learning the basics of Procreate. We will learn how to draw and paint a Fruit Bowl 7st - 13th Topic: How to use different Brushes in Procreate Learning the basics of Procreate. We will Draw and paint a Peach 14th - 19th Topic: How to use the Blending tool in Landscapes Learning the Basics of Procreate. We will Draw and paint a Landscape 20th - 25th Topic: How to create texture using different Procreate Brushes Learning the Basics of Procreate. We will Draw and Paint a Frog 26st -29th Topic: How to use colour in Procreate Learning the basics of Procreate. We will learn how to draw and paint a Watermelon THIS LIST WILL BE UPDATED monthly PS Requests for projects are welcome!

My name is Lynda Diamond. I teach art to children, teens and adults. My painting and drawing classes focus on exploring line, colour and content drawing objects such as flowers or fruit to abstract geometric shapes. My Art History classes explore the different ways art has evolved.
I hold a BFA in painting from The San Francisco Art Institute. I attended the San Francisco Art Institute as a scholarship student. I have taught children, teens and adults painting and drawing for sixteen years. As an independent teacher, I offer a variety of class options. These options are private 1:1 classes, one-day classes, ongoing classes, and Flex- classes. I have taught college-level painting classes at Nova Scotia Community College.
I have also taught ESL to kids in China for two years.
My art classes are always light-hearted in spirit.
I believe that learning to paint and draw is great fun! My art students always want to return to more classes because my classes are so enjoyable.
Here's an interesting note about me. I wanted to study with a great painter who lives in Norway. One day I flew to Norway. I luckily watched this master painter paint and learned so much from him. I will always be grateful for this experience and the skills I learned.
