初學者小數：位值、順序、小數的加減

Give your child a great start with decimal numbers! 

In this beginner level class, we will cover what decimal numbers are, how they relate to fractions, and basic arithmetic. This class goes slowly, allowing children to build a solid understanding as we go along.

The class begins by answering the question, "What is a decimal?" To do this, we will spend time comparing decimals to fractions and using a place value table. In the next classes, we will practice comparing, ordering, and rounding decimal numbers. We will wrap up the course by practicing what we have learned through story problems. 

Each day will include an icebreaker, collaborative discussion on the main topic for the day, and practice. I use lots of practical examples and discussion to help students engage with the topic concretely before moving toward abstract problems.

My class will be conversational, upbeat, and as visual and hands on as possible. Students will be encouraged to interact throughout the class, contributing to the discussion, actively working problems, and sharing their thought processes. Class size is small and limited to five students.
