**𝗦𝗽𝗼𝗶𝗹𝗲𝗿 𝗔𝗹𝗲𝗿𝘁** Acererak the Lich is a bully and has to be stopped. He created an artifact that collects people's souls and is using it to become a god. He could have just started a weird cult or something, but I guess this was his way of doing things. Worst of all, he hid the artifact in the jungle somewhere and nobody knows where. So, now adventurers have to comb the jungle with all the bugs, snakes, and zombies in order to stop him. At least there are magic items to be found in the jungle. If you find the lost city, you then have to go into the Tomb of Annihilation, somehow survive, and then you get to try and stop the lich. He didn't make it easy at all. I will be running them through the published Dungeons & Dragons campaign book titled 'Tomb of Annihilation.' Parents are welcome to read the material, but I don't recommend students doing so, as it will be a huge spoiler to the story. On the first day, the students will create their D&D characters and the start of the adventure will be introduced. The following sessions will be playing the adventure. If you are new to my classes, look through your emails, I'm going to see if we can build a character together before the first session!

Students will get to pick up on social cues, experience team building exercises, develop critical thinking skills, gain math and reading comprehension, engage in moral and ethics discussions, creative story building and character creation experience, creating in-game and in real life bonds and friendships, and more.

Dungeons & Dragons is a roleplaying game that involves players defeating monsters and villains using imaginary swords, axes, hammers, bows and magic. The violence involved is imaginary. The use of alcohol is a trope in this game, but not actually a key aspect - for example, the players will sometimes meet in a tavern to receive quests.
There are monsters such as witches and devils in Dungeons & Dragons. Players will sometimes run across these creatures in their games, but they aren't intended to be worshiped or idolized - they are often written into the story with the expressed intention that they be defeated.

Please have a computer with a mouse if you can. Tablets are okay, but they don't interact with the maps very well. Also, Chrome and Firefox are the preferred internet browser for Roll20. Edge doesn't like to load and Safari turns Roll20 into a Picasso.
