I adore helping young learners develop a love for writing by making writing lessons fun and engaging. We do a lot of creative writing, to begin, as this tends to be the most fun way to connect writing with what comes naturally to children--storytelling! I seek to use topics that interest the individual learner, from super heroes to unicorns, princesses to sports. One-on-one tutoring allows us to use the things that interest your child to get them engaged in the writing process! 

I graduated from Texas Woman's University, with a honors, with a Bachelor or Arts degree in English. I then went on to obtain several different teaching certifications: Early Childhood Through 4th Grade (EC-4), English 6-8 (Grades 6-8), and English as a Second Language (ESL). Long story short, this means I have the qualifications to professionally teach all subjects at the elementary level and English Language Arts at the middle school level.
