Welcome to Crime Scene Investigation (CSI) & Forensic Science Camp!

My name is Lance Davis and I have been in the Criminal Justice field for the last 27-years. I am a huge fan of both Crime Scene Investigation and Forensic Science, plus I love to teach the topic to students of all ages.

During this 2-Day Camp, students will learn the basics of how and why Investigators & Forensic Scientists do what they do to try and get an answer. We will cover topics such as: What is Crime Scene Investigation & Forensic Science, Observation, Identification, Steps to working a Crime Scene, Identifying Shoe Prints, Fingerprints, and much more. We will put this information together to complete some fun activities on both days including solving a crime. Also, at the end of the 2nd day, I will give students a list of items that they can put together to create their own Forensic Kit.

This camp will use: Google slides & YouTube videos.

Students, please make sure your cameras are on at all times and please be ready to talk and answer questions throughout class since this class is very interactive.

Students will need the following on Day 1:
1. A White Sheet of Copy Paper
2. Clear Scotch Tape
3. Pencil

Students will need the following on Day 2:
1. Paper & something to write with because the student will play the role of a Detective.

I also teach an ADVANCED 1-day class after this where we will take what we have learned in this class and dig deeper into trace evidence, protecting evidence, and properly packaging evidence.
