創意寫作：與新朋友一起寫故事

Do you have a child that loves to tell stories and wants to share them with others? Or perhaps you have a child that finds it hard to figure out what they could write about and could use some inspiration from others? Or maybe your child just wants a chance to make some great friends while doing a fun activity? Whichever applies to you, this class can help! In it, the students will work in groups to create some stories about what may have happened in a picture that will be provided. The groups will then tell their stories to the others in the class, and then we will discuss them.

Each weekly class will follow the same format (and so there is no specific schedule topic from week to week, just a new picture):

1. The new picture will be introduced (the course picture shows some examples of what kinds of pictures might be used - the exact pictures to be used each week will not be shown until class time to help prevent one group member from coming up with the entire story ahead of time and then just using that story instead of coming up with a story as a group).
2. The students will get into random groups of 2-3 students. 
3. The students will talk with their other group members and come up with a short story related to the picture. (I will be going between the groups to make sure that everything is going well and will give some leading questions if they are having some trouble coming up with something.)
4. We will come together again as a bigger group, and the groups will tell the stories that they made.
5. We will discuss what is similar between the stories and what is different and then come up with some potential reasons why those similarities and differences exist.
