In this class, virtual dice will be used to help us choose from a variety of surprise story elements (a character, the setting, a problem, a specific item, and a specific word, phrase, or sentence) that students should use in the story they will write. This class will meet on an ongoing basis, each class with the same structure, but with new story element options to choose from each week. Students will improve their creative writing skills, oral reading and speaking, and expand their imaginations as they create their very own short stories.
I hold a degree in Elementary Education and have been teaching weekly writing classes on Outschool since July 2020.
Students should come to class with: - Something to write on (notebook, paper, Word or Google Docs document) - Something to write with (if writing on physical paper) - A creative mind
All course content is age-appropriate and does not contain any graphic, violent, or controversial material.
