My writing classes are all about sparking creativity and a passion for writing. I develop a supportive environment to ensure that each writer builds confidence. Class 1 In the first class, we will begin by talking about "Create Your Own Ending" (CYOE) novels – why are they special? What makes a good adventure story? How should each “chapter” end? • Students will be provided an introduction to the "CYOE" story that they will complete. • Together we will work through a plot chart (Handout...
Students will learn that every story has multiple creative endings. They will work through the process of developing strong plots and endings for each of the storylines.
A one-page handout in the classroom prior to class time. Because of the multiple story endings, students will need approximately 8-10 pages to complete the multiple storylines. Pen /pencil to write the stories Pencil, markers, and colored crayons to complete the mini-novel illustration.
