課堂經歷

In this workshop-style class experience we'll focus on sharing creative projects and honing skills related to creativity, projects and problem-solving through a variety of creative prompts. Learners can expect each meeting to offer unique experiences and opportunities for sharing, discussing, learning about and creating projects.

CLASS FLOW (times are approximate):

0-5 minutes: introductions and/or check-ins + teacher-led sharing about the meeting plan

5-15 minutes: invitation to share projects

15-40 minutes: creating, teacher-led sharing (instructions, inspiration, skills, etc.) and guided discussion

40-45 minutes: final shares

My teaching style is informed by Social Constructivism, Reggio-inspired practices and the work of Fred Rogers (aka Mr. Rogers). As a Reggio-inspired educator I embody the role of teacher as researcher. This enables me to identify each learner’s unique interests and needs, and construct learning experiences that are dynamic and engaging. If learners attend multiple sessions I will be tailoring the meeting content to suit their interests and/or needs. In addition to this, I utilize my skills as a video artist to create a visually engaging and aesthetically pleasing Zoom “classroom”.

I completed my Master's in Innovative Early Childhood Education in 2022 in a program focusing on the Reggio Emilia Approach to Early Childhood Education (University of Colorado + Boulder Journey School). I have 20 years experience as an educator, primarily as a Teaching Artist and Reggio-inspired ECE, including four years as an all-virtual educator through my company Curious Bluebird, LLC. I am also a Registered Yoga Teacher (offering classes for children and adults) and certified children's Yoga instructor.
