Based off my very popular 30 minute class but now 50 minutes! In this weekly class learners will be given a creative Minecraft challenge to complete! Learners will put their building skills to the test with each new challenge! Class will begin with the teacher telling learners the challenge for the week. Learners will then be given time to build their creations and add as much detail as they would like. After learners have been given time to create their creations the class will come together to view each others creations, provide positive feedback, and ask any questions on how each other completed their challenges. If there is time at the end of class learners will be allowed to free build or update their challenge creation. Week of 1/3: New Year's build Week of 1/10: firework display Week of 1/17: use of snow and ice Week of 1/24: marketplace Week of 1/31: maze or game Week of 2/7: free choice Week of 2/14:playground Each week we will play Minecraft together in a secure and private game room. The teacher will set up a private gaming room for learners to use together! We will play in creative mode. The teacher will serve as a moderator during class ensuring game play is kept appropriate and all learners are able to share and participate. Please have a separate device for playing the game available during class. Class Rules: -Remember we are here to have fun -Be nice and help each other if needed -Respect each other -Respect each players creation and provide positive feedback. No negative feedback Please make sure you have a Microsoft account or Nintendo Switch online account and have the parental controls set that you will be able to join my realm. If these are not both done you will not be able to join my realm. Once you sign up please send me your gamertag so I can send you a friend request. I am so happy to invite all iPad, iPhone, Nintendo Switch players and others to this class! Let's have fun together. I can't wait to meet you all! The server will be private and secure!

Minecraft contains very little violence, graphic or inappropriate content. There is no blood in the game, however players can hit/kill enemies or animals to survive. The graphics are very cartoon like and minimalistic. Students will be playing on an online server hosted and moderated by the teacher.
Students who choose to disrupt the classroom or other learners will be removed from the server. Actions that are not acceptable includes but are not limited to:
- Breaking other students/teachers creations
- Bad language or cursing
- Hacking
- Using the game to grief another student

Hello, my name is Ms. Stephanie! I have been on Outschool for almost 3 years and teaching for the past twelve years. I have a Bachelors Degree in Psychology and a Minor in Elementary Education. I have been a tutor and a lead classroom teacher for Kindergarten and First Grade. I love working with children and seeing them learn and grow. I believe children learn best through having fun and participating in engaging activities.
I also have a Masters Degree in Clinical Social Work. I am able to use this degree to teach learners about emotions, fears, personality, etc.
I have visited several countries and lived in four different states. I have two children of my own.
