課堂經歷
In this dynamic and engaging class, students will explore the exciting intersection of art, design, and technology through the lens of creative coding using Processing. Processing is a flexible software sketchbook and a language for learning how to code within the context of the visual arts. This class is designed for beginners with little to no programming experience, as well as for those with some coding background who want to expand their creative horizons. Throughout the course, students will delve into the fundamentals of programming concepts such as variables, loops, conditionals, and functions, all while applying them to create visually stunning artworks, interactive installations, and generative designs. The emphasis will be on hands-on, project-based learning, where students will have the opportunity to unleash their creativity and express themselves through code. Key Topics Covered: 1) Introduction to Processing: Understanding the basics of the Processing environment, including setup and the structure of a sketch. 2)Drawing and Animation: Learning how to create shapes, lines, curves, and colors to produce dynamic animations and visual effects. 3) Interaction and Input: Exploring how to respond to user input, such as mouse clicks and keyboard presses, to create interactive experiences. 4) Transformations and Motion: Utilizing transformations and mathematical functions to manipulate shapes and create fluid motion. 5) Image and Sound Processing: Experimenting with image and sound libraries to incorporate multimedia elements into projects.
