Class Description

In this private Scratch coding class, beginners will learn the basics of coding in a fun and easy way! Using Scratch’s simple drag-and-drop blocks, students will explore how to create animations, interactive stories, and simple games. This class is perfect for young learners who are brand new to coding and want to develop problem-solving skills in an engaging and creative way.  

Class Experience

What will be taught?
- How to navigate Scratch and use basic coding blocks.  
- Key programming concepts like sequencing, loops, and events.  
- How to make characters (sprites) move, talk, and interact.  
- The basics of animation and simple game design.  
- Debugging skills to fix small mistakes and improve projects.  

How is the class structured?
- Each session is one-on-one and customized to your child’s pace.  
- We’ll start with a short introduction and hands-on demonstration.  
- The majority of the session will be spent creating a simple project together.  
- At the end, we’ll review what was learned and talk about what to try next!
