This class will not only teach you how to create your comics, but also teach you how to create awesome original characters and how to develop compelling stories. As a lifelong artist and a 13-year classroom teacher with a Master's Degree in English Education, I can show you how. I love stories, art, writing, and teaching. Students will learn: -how to create dynamic characters that are well-rounded and change -how to design visually appealing characters -how to write good stories with a protagonist, all the plot stages, conflict, and theme -How to tell a story and create a comic using panels, thought and speech bubbles, special effects, and principles of composition
-paper -pencil -black marker or ink pen (Sharpie is fine) -optional: coloring utensils
